The YMCA put on an Easter party so we went with our friends, the Breymans. Max was cautious of the Easter Bunny at first, but after the initial meeting he kept wanting to be near him. It was funny - Max would run up to the Bunny and just wave, then run right back to me so happy! It's the little things, right? :)

My friend Stacie and I after the 5 mile Bunny Dash yesterday! We ran at 9am, in 29 degrees, and up some hills. 5 miles was PLENTY!




Sawyer's top four teeth are coming in! One has already popped through. He was a little crabby today because of it, but for the most part he's handling really well.

I couldn't get Sawyer to sit back. He wanted to lean forward and look at the ground most of the time. It looked like he was going to fall forward out of the swing, but I guess he was ok in there!

The playground had two trees that were cut down so Max played by those. There were some flies around one of them and he kept saying "No flies bite you!" He was reminding himself to not be scared of them.

It's naptime now and I can hardly wait til the boys get back up so we can head back outside! I hope you get a chance to enjoy the gorgeous weather!

I have an announcement.....SAWYER IS SLEEPING THROUGH THE NIGHT. Applause please! I'm thrilled. He's 9 1/2 months old so it was definitely time. He wakes up really happy after getting 10 - 12 straight hours!

In my last post I asked you to pray for Sawyer as we went to see his ENT surgeon for the growth of his tumor. Praise the Lord, we got the best possible answer! The tumor does not need immediate surgery. As long as there are no changes in color, drainage, or growth that blocks his airway, the doctor will perform an outpatient surgery later in his life. Thank God my baby doesn't have to go through serious surgery again! He is beautiful and healthy!

We are really enjoying the nicer weather! We've been out on several walks and have been to the playground. Sawyer loves to swing! He smiles the whole time! Last year Max didn't like the slides because he got on one that was way too hot. This year he wanted to go down them time after time! I can tell though that Max is going to be my cautious child as proven by not liking to be thrown around or be upside down. He often tells me things are "too high". Sawyer on the other hand, laughs if he's upside down and loves to be held up high! When we go to Cedar Point in about 10 years, Lukas and Sawyer can ride rollercoasters while Maxy and I hang out in kiddy land :)

Max had a first yesterday...he got a haircut by someone besides his Gros Vahti (Lukas's dad). He sat very still and listened to the barber when he was supposed to put his head up or down. But he was kind of confused at first saying, "No, Totty cut Maxy's hair." We told him Gros Vahti would cut it again next time and that appeased him.

Finally!

After a short hiatus due to vacation and sickness, I'm baaaaack!

Vacation was awesome! We cruised to Honduras, Belize, and Cozumel on Carnival Cruise Line. In Belize we tubed in crystal clear water through caves. It was very cool! To get to the caves, we had to take an hour bus ride and then hike through the JUNGLE for 40 minutes! Crazy. Unfortunately, I got sunburnt on the first day. What was I thinking? There are very few ways to jeopardize having fun on a Caribbean cruise but getting a sunburn is definitely one of them! Thankfully, I was able to hide from the sun the rest of the week without missing out on any fun activities. It was actually cloudy a few times, which helped. Was the food good? um...Lukas and I both gained 5 pounds each! Eeeeek! Hamburgers, hot dogs, pizza, and ice cream were available 24/7. Not even to mention the variety of other foods that were offered. Thankfully, a week later the extra pounds disappeared. Phew! :) We had an awesome time with Melissa and Aaron!

My mom and dad took GREAT care of the boys. Max missed us but was very content to stay with Ma and Papa. In one week's time Mom got Max to go potty by himself and got Sawyer to sleep through the night with the exception of 1 early feeding. Unbelievable! She's got skillz. :)

The week after vacation wasn't quite as fun. The boys were sick with chest colds for the first few days and then I got it. It was just like a terrible cold.

Hopefully the sickness is over and we can get back to normal life! The sun was shining today and it was an instant mood-lifter. Thank you, God, for the sunshine!

Prayer request: The tumor in Sawyer's nose has grown. This is unexpected because the surgeons did not think it would grow. Thankfully, I know it is not attached to his brain, like it was at birth. Also, he can still breathe past it. Sawyer sees his surgeon on Friday morning at 9:30. Please pray for this situation. I have no idea what to expect. Maybe the surgeon will say to do nothing at this time, mayabe there will be tests. I have some concerns as to why the tumor grew back in just 9 months time. But the Lord knows my concerns and he loves Sawyer even MORE than I do. I'll keep you posted.
