Life with toddlers abounds with funniness! Max should have had a recorder taping him all day.

He was helping me make lunch and I was explaining to him what a recipe is and that there are different ingredients. We were making Ramen noodles (not much of a recipe!) and he asked what the little packet was. I told him it was seasoning. He said, "Seasoning? Like sneeze!" and then laughed :)

Sawyer was the typical pesky little brother to Max a couple times today. Max was sweeping up some crumbs in the kitchen (the boy loves to clean) and Sawyer kept walking through the mess. Max hollered at him so I said, "Max!" He replied in a very annoyed voice, "What? I just brooming!!"

Later Sawyer kept putting a toy truck on top of Max's head and made engine noises. Max was so annoyed but Sawyer thought it was great fun. When Tote finally stopped they kissed and made up :)

It snowed today. Atleast in our house it did. According to Max anyway. I gave him an ice pack (it heals all boo-boos) and he through it on the floor and laid on it. He said, "Dis is my snow! Dat kinda tickles!" He must not have liked it too much though because the next thing I heard was the microwave door shutting. He was trying to warm it up!

Women aren't the only one who notice their thighs get bigger when they sit down. Max was sitting on the potty tonight and he said, "I got big wegs! Doze are big! I got moles on my wegs." Which he doesn't, btw.

As I was getting Max ready for bed he started mumbling random things under his breath. One thing he said was, "I sad about Ma." I asked him what about. He replied, "I sad she had doe to work. I need doe det her." Haha! He talks about/prays for my mom every night because of her back and legs. But today was a good day because she felt well enough to go into work. Poor Maxy didn't think so I guess!

The boys and I stayed in our pajamas all day. It was fantastic. We built a fort, a parking garage, jumped in the bounce house, did stunts, had a puppet show....so much fun.

Today was a good one. Sawyer ate 2 bananas, some yogurt covered raisins, and had some juiced carrots along with his bread! Yay for nutrition! I went away for a couple hours this evening and when I got back Sawyer greeted me with "Mama! Mama! Mama!" He was bouncing off the walls! Lukas says he didn't have any sugar so I think he was just slap happy! :)

Max was crying in his bed tonight, which is unusual. So I went in to check on him and he was sad because it was dark. So I turned on a night light and he was still upset. He said, "I don't wanna be in a cave." Cave? We haven't talked about a cave. So I told him he's not in a cave and asked what he was talking about. He said, "Little Bear. Dat's all I am talking about." I put on the show Little Bear for him today while I got ready and apparently I missed something! I calmed his fears by telling him there are no caves around here and that they aren't all that scary anyway. Poor kid. It bothers me a little bit when cartoons that are made for pre-schoolers have scary plots. Why? They don't need to be exposed to things that will worry them.

Project Runway is on tonight! I DVR it so I can skip most of the interviews. The clothes, even though they are sometimes hideous, are amazing. I don't know how these people construct and manipulate the fabric like that! We'll see who gets kicked tonight. I'm hoping Gretchen, but I doubt it.

The designers on that show impress me, but think about who DESIGNED the designers. Now THAT is impressive.

Today I've been reflecting on how B I G God is. To believe he created everything is one thing but to really think about it... He MADE me. He MADE you. He designed a zebra's stripes. He made trees to have leaves that CHANGE COLOR and then fall, only to repeat the process. That is AMAZING. His power is undeniable. He is so big and yet he cares about little ol' me. How can I not be in awe of Him?

I got my hair cut and colored today. When I got home Max said, "Mama? Ooooo your hair looks pretty! That's soft! Where your old hair doe?"
Made me laugh :)

Tote Monster has started asking for his blankie - finally! He has separation anxiety so I've been trying for months to get him to find comfort in this blankie. He carries it around the house. Couldn't be cuter. Also, the last 2 days he has been eating atleast 2 meals/day!! Much improved!

Max was just SO FUNNY right now! I put him to bed at 8:00 and at 8:15 he got up. I was on facebook so we started looking through all my profile pictures. His comments made me laugh so hard! He saw a picture of himself sleeping when he was a newborn. I told him he had just come out of mommy's belly. He said, "I yawn in dare?" Then he saw a picture of me when I was pregnant with him and he said, "I uside down in dare?" I told him yes, you were upside down. He chuckled and got the most hilarious grin on his face and said, "No, I not!!" He thought it was just so funny and absurd that he could be upside down! :) He told me he wants to be in my belly "aden sometimes." (again sometime.) Then he saw a picture of me from about 7 years ago when I had long hair. He said, "Who's dat? Mommy wook tunny. Mommy wook weird." Ha!

I'm not sure what's up with Blogger. I've tried uploading photos several times over the past couple of weeks with no luck. I have some fun pictures to share with you but I guess that will have to wait!

The weather gorgeous again today! We had fun playing outside with the boys and Lukas got some yardwork done. Max is learning how to throw a football correctly so we spent some time throwing that around. Tote happily stared at the neighbor's dog barking and every once in a while would yell out, "Arf! Arf!" :)

Over the weekend my sister, Melissa, and I threw a baby shower for my little sister, Laura. She's expecting her first child (a boy) next month. We're all so excited for her! The shower went off without a hitch and, if I do say so myself, was totally cute. The theme was Lil' Pumpkin and it was perfect for an Autumn baby. It was tons of fun to have my whole family together for the first time in months! 5 kids keep us all busy and entertained.


My mom, for those of you who don't know, has been dealing with a herniated disc for over a month now. A very loooooong month. She's been in a lot of pain and has spent 70% of the last month in bed. She is numb from her feet to her hips. Praise God a lot of the pain has subsided but the numbness really keeps her from feeling good. I know she's really longing to get back to normal life. I'm REALLY proud of her for this accomplishment: LOSING 70 POUNDS! She looks great! I went through her closet tonight and got rid of everything that does not fit her. When she feels better she is going to have one big shopping spree! Love ya, Mom!

Max was eating a tootsie roll today and he said, "I show Jesus my tootsie roll." Then he tipped his head back, opened his mouth and said, "Look, Jesus!" :)
