Last weekend was a big one for my sweet Sawyer. He did so many new things in just a few days!

He got three new teeth in. He has a mouthful now! Which is good because he really is over the whole baby food thing. He wants to eat what the rest of us are eating. Can't blame him! Sidenote: The top of a Tyenol bottle, is the best teether ever. He chased that thing around the living room for days, always wanting to chew on it!

Sawyer is really starting to repeat us now. He said "ball" very clearly. I love his little voice :) Since then, his Papa taught him to say "Bye Bye" while waving and he said "more" while I was giving him Puffs.

I worked on clapping with him for so long and now it's one of his favorite things to do! He plays Pat-A-Cake too. I love that interaction with him!

We've added yet another nickname for this boy...Scooch! He will not crawl, but gets around easily by scooching. It's so funny! If he's not scooching around, he wants to be holding my fingers and walking. I think he will walk around the time of his first birthday. He's definitely getting a lot of practice in!



This is his new little look.... He squints his eyes shut and shoots you a big smile! He's playing with us :) It cracks me up every time!

I love my sweet boy.

Last year we took Max to a "safari". It's one of those places that you drive through and the animals come up to your car. Max loved it then (with the exception of the Elk. Can't blame him for that though - they were taller than our SUV.) but this year he was a little more uncertain. We drove through a couple times and he fussed a little bit. But by the third time through, he started to enjoy it. He still talks about the Buffalo, "big animo", and how he doesn't like them. A few times since then, just tonight in fact, when I tuck him in at night he tells me there's animals in his room. Poor kid!
Lukas's brother and his wife went with us this time since they were here visiting for Easter.

After the safari we went to a little beach on Lake Erie.




On Easter morning we did a little Easter egg hunt in the living room. After he found all the eggs I told him there was a bigger surprise hiding for him. This is his reaction! HILARIOUS!

Sunday afternoon we went to my parent's house. My mom gave the kids their Easter baskets. Here Totey Monster is finding his goodies!


The bigger kids got to hunt Easter eggs outside. They had so much fun! Papa and Ma had a lot of fun setting this all up and watching the kids get excited.

Max is getting his 2 year molers and Sawyer is working on several teeth. I thought it was funny how they were both sitting there - mesmerized by an alphabet song and chewing on their fingers.


After shaping the Hello Kitty cake, I had some big pieces leftover. So I quickly made this "C" cake for my friend's kids, Cole and Caleigh. Caleigh said, "I love it!" Haha!

Josh, my older brother, turns 31 today! This is so crazy to me! He was almost 4 years old when I was born and he moved out and went to college at 19. So we lived together for 15 years and NOT lived together for 13 years. Wow. Time flies for real! Growing up, Josh could always me laugh. Hilarious is the word that best describes Josh as a child. I have some really good memories! As an adult he's pretty great too! I'm blessed to have such a wonderful big brother!

In honor of his birthday, I made him a cake of his favorite character....



Just kidding! This is for a 14 year old girl named, Sydney. It was so fun to make!

(BTW, Josh's favorite character has always been Taz.)
